Let's GO fly a kite!

"Let's go fly a kite"...shall I break out singing?? in melodious song....I better not. James is playing Black Ops right in front of me, and has the whole ear piece-head thingy on. :D But really, you know you are recalling your "Mary Poppins" days way back when...I used to always sing that. Sooooo....anyway, I am a wee bit worn out. This week has been loooooonggggg but fun(Due to Lainey Brain coming...cough, cough). :D We ended our week by going to fly a kite today. It was all fine and dandy until Tyler's 4th or 5th turn running the kite. Daddy said "Run away from the trees....RUN AWAY TY." Well, yup, you guessed it....Ty ran straight for the trees. I guess he thought daddy meant the other trees? I have know idear...honestly.  What's a momma to do but sit there and laugh. It got caught after only 15 minutes of air time. :D It was funny, and a sure lasting memory. Poor Ty will probably be traumitized....never to fly a kite again. Meg was upset, and daddy wasn't laughing. So, if your at Gilbert Run anytime soon wave to the "Poppins Kite". I'm for real it's all rainbowy and such...and noticeable. So yea...it was fun. We then messed around with the bat and ball, and soccer ball. It was so fun. ;/ ! After we went to Rita's and then Mcy'ds. Then daddy got home and ran around our circle with Meg and Ty riding their bikes behind him. I heard it was a very relaxing time....riggggghhhttt ;D! Just imagine whiny, tired kids that were very much enthusiatic about going with daddy at the beginning, and not so much at the end. LOL. Anyway, the kids are all sound asleep...I wouldn't remind a repeat of today! It was so much fun to spend it with just our crazy little family! How I love them!

[Our Christmas Card]

Please applause this family. Please. :D We made "Christmas/New Years" cards this year. We had to add in New Years because, well you know, we didn't make the "Christmas" deadline. LOL. If you would like a Christmas/New Years card just let me know. It just may make it to your house before Easter. ;D I'm just so excited we made one, and they are going to be delivered to our house soon, to be sent to you. YAYY! The pictures are from when we went to get our family Christmas tree. We went to the same lot we go to when we get pumpkins. The people will forever remember us...we went there three times in the past two months. So, I hope you had a very MERRY Christmas! I sure did!

Below, is the beloved annual family church picture. If only people knew what we go through every year to get this picture. It is always so challenging, and we are all filled with pure excitement...riiighttt.[rolling my eyes] :D This year we used my camera and my tripod. I look all disheveled, well my sweater anyway. :D I was running and such, beings my battery in my remote was pretty much dead, and decided not to work. :D Loverly, I know. I thought, for sure, this day we didn't get a single decent picture. For real, we were only out there like twenty-five minutes. And then everyone, almost everyone...was ready to go, it was extremely cold. This picture was by far, the best. Michael, slaved and made a very cool "Merry Christmas" sign that we used in a couple of them, but then the kids didn't co-operate. :D So, we picked this one. :D Micheal, designed the card, and me thinks he did AWESOME. :D Michael is just so creative. High five, bro.

Anywho, we've had our share of trying to get family pictures to last us a life time, but next year will come all too soon, and we will be back to the craziness of it all. Yayy! I just tell myself, "It's the MOST wonderful time of the year". :D

[Tear]

Today, as I sat with my kids for lunch, I realized how much my kids are growing up, and how quickly! My, how time really does fly! Do you ever have those days when you look at your babies and just start taking in everything? Today was one of those days. Grant it, today had its moments, but mercy, just sitting there at lunch had me thinking! Ty, sitting there in his "Batman" cape. He has loved batman ever since I can remember. How much longer until he thinks he is to big for his cool cape? He won't always want to be batman. Jumping of the stairs, saving his sister [she plays Robin]  from the arch enemies...joker and penguin. How long will he be my sweet little Ty, who still runs up to me at random times of the day and throws up the " I LOVE YOU" sign. Tonight, during devotions he just laid down on my lap and asked me to scratch his back. Sometimes, I want to say, "no", but then again, I never ever remember my mama saying "no" to me when I wanted a back scratch during devotions. It seems like yesterday that Michael and I were on either side of my mom getting our backs scratched. So, I'm thinking that one day when Ty is older, and chasing a girl...and not wanting his back scratched anymore...I shall think of all these times. His batman cape, back scratching days.
Mercy, then there is Lana in the whole "baby" stage. Yea, I know she isn't a baby to you all, but to me she is still my little baby. Meg is still my baby. LOL.  Looking at her in the high chair, she's growing up so quickly. Just seems like yesterday, Meg was sitting in that same spot in her high chair. Meg is now almost six. Where in the WORLD did that time go!? I love my babies, and today, I realized....although I already new, that sometimes I need to slow way down and look at my babies. They won't be my little babies forever. I will miss these days when I'm old and grey. :D Wait, I already am....well, anyway, enough of my sapiness...I shall go now. :D

The End.

P.S. Tonight we made gingerbread men cookies. We decorated them with Fourth of July sprinkles. Yea, we're crazy. I think I like us. :D

[Turkey Day at my parents]

Our Thanksgiving was very, very exhausting! For real! :D Well, not exactly. We slept in and didn't have to be at the "parents" until three. It was rather nice actually. When we got there, Nana had all the food prepared. It was all smelling so good. We sat down an ate. It was amazing, as always! Besides the fact, nana did not make her ahhhhmazzzzing yeast rolls. Boo. :D Instead opted for store bought. Mama, nothing has anything on your yeast rolls. NOTHING. Next year, they are a MUST.  So, after the food we all just pretty much sat and relaxed, while Michael laughed at Alana. One year olds are pretty funny...if you want a good laugh, I'll let you borrow her sometime. :D That was our easy peasy, breezy Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful for my family here and in Texas! Thank the Lord daily for them! Thanks Mama for the wonderful food! Oh, and Michael and Rach brought some totally yummy greenbeans. They were a hit with me! I think they need to become a tradition guys!! ;D ;D

After my parents, we went to the Bohacs. Some of our favorite friends. :D It was a fun time. I got to see how a scrunched scarf is made, and got to feel and see elastic thread for the first time. lol. For real, that's a big deal, never new it existed. :D The guys stayed in the back playing video games, like ALL night. Thanks for letting us invade on Thanksgiving evening. :D

What a great Thanksgiving we had!

P.S. I know this is like a "November" post. Decided I should post it, BEFORE the " HUNT OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE"
My hubs gets onto me about not posting. Gotta keep him happy. :D
